    1. hi Mr venki
absolute ceiling is the altitude above sea level about which ROC i.e rate of climb Zero that means if pilot want to maintain that altitude he must maintain the aircraft at only one speed at no amount of power available greater than power required which is not possible, here at this condition power available is equal to power required if tried the aircraft goes unstable . so absolute ceiling is the altitude which is physically not possible normally service ceiling is the maximum altitude that an aircraft can practically attain.

    2. Absolute ceiling is Ideal one and Service ceiling is real one which an aircraft can attain

  3. what is the dihedral effect

    1. when you see from the back side of the airplane i.e from tail if the wing is at an angle above the horizontal it is dihedral angle. now what is dihedral effect in lateral stability or roll stability (when we do derivation of wing contribution we will get a equation d(coeficcient of lateral moment)/d(beta) which is negative ) the derivative is negitive and is a function of dihedral angle say gamma , the total function will be like this dcL/dB = - f(gamma). we know that to keep the plane to be laterally stable the dihedral angle must be positive so that the dcL/dB will be negative. it is mathematically. no physically if it is positive dihedral angle the clock wise rolling moment is always compensated by the counter clock wise force by the side slip of the air which hit on the fuselage. so the positive dihedral wing does provide a stabilizing effect which is interm in lateral stability is called as DIHEDRAL EFFECT

    1. month 1 - read throughly the books and prepare your on notes if u dont work on your notes u will not get the good rank...(try random problems )
month 2- as u already made the formula books and list of summery this month u have to revise and do as much problems as possible , u can also write online exams to know about the exam pattern ...
also u have to check the time in which how many questions u are attempting . gate is not the matter that how much questions u had attempted its a matter of how many are attempted correctly
